Michelin-Recommended Hattie B’s Hot Chicken Has Arrived in Plano

Plano residents have another dining option to add to the list.

According to CultureMap Dallas, Hattie B’s Hot Chicken recently opened its newest restaurant at 2104 Preston Road in Preston Towne Crossing. The Nashville-based chain is known for its signature fried chicken and was recognized as a Recommended Restaurant in Michelin’s debut guide to the American South in 2025.

The opening marks the second Dallas-area location for Hattie B’s. The company previously relocated its Dallas restaurant to Oak Lawn in 2024 after originally entering the market through Deep Ellum in 2022.

What Is Hattie B’s Hot Chicken Known For?

Founded in Nashville in 2012 by father-and-son duo Nick Bishop Sr. and Nick Bishop Jr., Hattie B’s has expanded across Tennessee, Texas, Alabama, Georgia, Illinois, and Nevada.

Its menu revolves around fried chicken with several heat levels, including:

  • Mild
  • Medium
  • Hot
  • Damn Hot
  • Shut the Cluck Up

Customers can also choose non-spicy options, along with sandwiches, tenders, loaded fries, salads, banana pudding, peach cobbler, cocktails, and frozen drinks.

Another Sign of Continued Growth in Plano and North Texas

Plano continues to attract nationally recognized brands, and that’s one reason many people continue moving to Collin County and North Texas.

My opinion is that additions like Hattie B’s are another example of how Plano keeps evolving beyond just being a strong job market. The city continues to add new restaurants, retail, entertainment, and amenities that contribute to the overall quality of life. While a restaurant opening by itself won’t move the housing market, it reflects the broader growth and investment that have made Plano one of the most desirable places to live in North Texas.
