Dallas is gaining global attention for more than population growth and job creation. It is now firmly on the map as one of the world’s leading wealth centers.
According to a report covered by the Dallas Observer and produced by global investment firm Henley & Partners, Dallas ranks 21st worldwide for millionaire population. The study estimates that more than 72,000 millionaires live in Dallas today, alongside 16 billionaires and over 100 centi-millionaires.
What stands out most is not just the number of wealthy residents, but how fast that number is growing.
From 2014 through 2024, Dallas experienced an 85 percent increase in high-net-worth individuals, making it one of the fastest-growing wealth hubs in both the United States and the world. That type of growth signals long-term economic confidence, not a short-term trend.
Several forces are driving this momentum.
North Texas continues to attract corporate headquarters and executive talent, supported by a business-friendly environment and no state income tax. Companies relocating from states like California and Illinois bring leadership teams and capital with them, fueling housing demand across Dallas and surrounding communities.
Another key advantage is relative affordability.
Even with rising home values, Dallas remains significantly more affordable than coastal cities such as New York and San Francisco. Buyers relocating from those markets often find they can purchase larger homes, better locations, and higher quality construction while still lowering their overall cost of living.
From a real estate standpoint, this helps explain why Dallas continues to see strong demand across multiple price points. Luxury buyers, investors, and primary homeowners are all competing in the same market because Dallas offers something few major metros can. Economic opportunity combined with livable pricing.
As a Dallas Realtor, I see this trend daily. Clients are not just buying homes. They are buying into the long-term strength of the Dallas economy.
If you are considering selling or buying a home in Dallas, aligning your strategy with these market fundamentals matters.
