The opening brings another international luxury brand into one of Dallas’ most important destinations for interior design, architecture, furniture, and creative businesses.

The company already operates a Texas location in Houston.

Harbour was founded in Sydney, Australia, in 1976 as a family workshop specializing in handcrafted metal furniture. The company is now led by brothers Nicholas and Harrison Condos and operates showrooms across the United States, Australia, and Asia.

The Dallas opening also comes during Harbour’s 50th anniversary year, making the expansion into North Texas a milestone moment for the Australian luxury furniture company.

Custom Gold Honey Onyx Will Give the Dallas Showroom Its Own Identity

One of the most distinctive details about the Harbour Dallas showroom is its use of Gold Honey Onyx.

According to the company, the stone was selected specifically for the Dallas location and will be incorporated throughout the showroom.

The custom material will appear in architectural details including the reception desk, cabinetry, planters, and other features throughout the space.

That decision appears designed to give the Dallas showroom its own visual identity rather than simply duplicating the design of Harbour’s other locations.

What Harbour’s Dallas Opening Means for the Dallas Design District

In my opinion, Harbour’s arrival is another strong addition to the Dallas Design District and reinforces the area’s role as a major destination for luxury home design, architecture, furniture, and development.

The Dallas Design District has continued to attract new businesses, showrooms, restaurants, and design-focused concepts, particularly around Oak Lawn Avenue and the growing retail activity at The Seam.

For homeowners, interior designers, architects, developers, and people interested in luxury outdoor living, Harbour’s new showroom will add another destination to explore in central Dallas.

The opening is also another example of Dallas attracting national and international brands that see North Texas as an important growth market.

Harbour plans to host a private Trade Preview followed by a Grand Opening celebration. Once officially open, the Dallas showroom is expected to operate Monday through Friday from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. and Saturday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.

According to CultureMap Dallas, Harbour is expected to officially open in November at 1444 Oak Lawn Ave. in the Dallas Design District.

My Take on Harbour Coming to Dallas

I think this is a positive addition to the Dallas Design District.

Dallas continues to grow as a major market for luxury real estate, architecture, interior design, and high-end residential development. A company like Harbour choosing Dallas for its second Texas showroom reflects the continued importance of the North Texas market.

The Design District is already known for its concentration of design showrooms and creative businesses, and Harbour’s focus on luxury outdoor living fits naturally into that environment.

For anyone following new business openings, luxury home design, or development in Dallas, this is another opening worth watching this fall.
